About AFI BRAKE
AFI BRAKE MANUFACTURING SDN. BHD. is located in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia (45 minutes flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport). Established in 1997, we an integrated manufacturer of automotive disc brake pads for aftermarket segment.
We are responsible for every single step of the production of our brake pads, from the making of moulds, metal stamping, material formulation, packing to research and development. In order to produce finer quality products, we also continuously update our technology. Besides manufacturing our own products under our brand names, we also provide customers’ brand manufacturing service.
Apart from the quality of our products and services, the human resources factor also plays a key role. Good management and highly trained workforce ensure that goals are achieved. We have obtained MS ISO 9001 quality management system awards and received the Golden Bull Award 2011, the award that recognizes Malaysia 100 outstanding SMEs.
In 2015, our product quality as successfully earned us the SIRIM product certification MS 1164: 2005 as well as world recognized E-Mark certification (E11).
Coordinated marketing, product R&D, plus after sales services are keys to our success. We have also gained the reputation for our innovative ideas. All these contribute to our good name in both the domestic and international markets.
Company Milestone

Year 1995
Our factory, Auto Friction Industries Sdn. Bhd. (AFI), was located in Selangor. We only concentrated at export market.

Year 1997
Auto Friction Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (AFM) took over the production line and relocate our factory to Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. Auto Friction Industries Sdn. Bhd. acts as the marketing arm.

Year 2000
We stop produced Asbestos product and only produce Asbestos Free products (Semi-metallic).

Year 2001
Started to develop our domestic market (wholesales and contract manufacturing service). -
Year 2002
Established our own brand, AFI BRAKE and commenced production for Low Metal and Non-Asbestos Organic (NAO) formulation.

Year 2004
AFM obtained MS ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
Participated in Expo Cintai Malaysia 2004.

Year 2006
Auto Friction Industries Sdn. Bhd. changed the company name to AFI BRAKE (M) SDN BHD. for marketing purpose.
We formed a marketing arm, BREMSEN BRAKE (EM) SDN. BHD. to distribute our product in East Malaysia.
We expanded our factory building.
We participated in Automechanika Frankfurt.

Year 2007
Commenced production of Ceramic Formulation products.
AFI BRAKE obtained the Asia Pacific Super Excellent Brand Award 2006/2007.

Year 2008
AFI BRAKE (M) Sdn. Bhd. obtained the Golden Bull Award 2008 and Enterprise 50 Award.
Participated in Expo Cintai Malaysia 2008 (The 7th Malaysia International Trade & Consumer Fair) on 3 – 7 December 2008 at Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC).

AFI BRAKE (M) SDN. BHD. relocated its office to Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.
AUTO FRICTION MANUFACTURING SDN. BHD. received the Golden Bull Award 2011.
Started to export to Australia, China and Indonesia.

Launched our new product (CERAMATE).
Started to export to Iraq and Sri Lanka.

Participated in Automechanika Dubai from 11.06.2013 - 13.06.2013.
Participated in Malaysia International Bus,Truck & Components Expo (MIBTC) 2013 from 13 - 15 June 2013.
Participated in Automechanika Moscow from 26 - 29 August 2013.
Participated in MYANAUTO 2013 from 20-22 November 2013.
Participated in Automechanika Shanghai from 10 - 13 December 2013.

Year 2014
Changing the company name from Auto Friction Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. to AFI Brake Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. effective 01/01/2014 due to the business expansion needs.
Participated in The 6th Indonesia International Auto Parts, Accessories and Equip Exhibition 2014 (inAPA 2014) on March 19-22, 2014.
Participated in Automechanika Dubai 2014 on 03-05 June 2014.
